Nike 2013 Spring Air Max 1 Canvas Premium

Nike brings back the Air Max 1 for spring, but with a twist. While most of the street-ready runner market continues to be dominated by uppers that commonly combine synthetic materials with suede, Nike experiments with a smooth canvas construction that appears in three different colorways including mild turquoise and black which help to fully exploit the textural change-up. The heavy use of overlays does make the upper a little busier-looking, but along with the contrasting accents on the sole and ankle, helps the shoe to stand out from the many sneakers bridging sport and daily wear sensibilities.
