Air is arguably the most basic human necessity. It makes sense then, that we would be so fascinated to explore air, its myriad possibilities and its joys. Arc’teryx celebrates this fascination with discovering new heights in a short film: “The Joy of Air.” Narrated by a young boy, the clip highlights the ways that we interact with air – from snowboarding to kayaking, BMX biking, to the car sets of youth. Directed by Brian Smith, the clip features stunningly crisp imagery, profoundly begging its audience to question how they can interact with air – beyond breathing.
