Amongst the frenzy of media swirling around television and talk radio, it seems like Kobe-mania cannot be escaped since his triumphant return from his Achilles surgery. Building the anticipation for his ninth sneaker, the Black Mamba and Nike Basketball continue the retroing of Kobe’s classic signature models with the “Prelude” edition of the Zoom Kobe III. Carrying over the art-inspired influences seen on the past two releases from the “Prelude” collection, the waffle-esque sneaker features a marble-like print around the monochromatic black upper – a nod to the “misery” of losing to the Boston Celtics in the 2008 NBA Finals. The Nike Zoom Kobe III “Prelude” will be available Saturday, December 21 for $200 USD via Nike’s online store.
