Re-imagining adidas‘s classis Superstar, Yohji Yamamoto presents the Smooth Model Hi as a part of Y-3‘s Fall/Winter 2013 collection. Pairing a smooth version of the Superstar’s signature rubber shell toe with a high-top upper of luxurious tumbled black leather, the otherwise simple kicks sport a unique rubber heel counter with a branded nylon overlay – thus giving the design a decidedly futuristic aesthetic on par with that of other Y-3 silhouettes. The predominately black edition of the Smooth Model Hi is now available via New York’s Kith for $340 USD.
