As the final piece to its 2013 Holiday N7 Collection, Nike premieres the KD VI N7 in bold new colors that actually have significant meaning in Native American communities. Turquoise is often used to symbolize friendship, while red is one of the four colors – yellow, red, black and white – that appear on traditional Native American medicine wheels or sacred hoops to represent the four directions and various other purposes. This model also sees the inclusion of the repeating arrow pattern that was first shown in Nike’s collaboration with Pendleton last month. Though the KD VI N7 is expected to release on November 9 at select retailers, Durant will be sporting these commemorative kicks tonight, November 6, at home against the Dallas Mavericks. Furthermore, the Nike N7 charitable organization will also bring together 100 youth from local tribal communities in Oklahoma City for an afternoon basketball clinic on November 7 at the Thunder’s training facility.
