Vans Vault can now claim Philadelphia-based boutique UBIQ on its growing list of collaborators, tapping the shop for two new renditions of its most popular silhouettes. Here we find the two brands drawing inspiration from the canon of Japanese tattoo artists to outfit the Sk8-Hi LX and Era LX in some admittedly rad prints. The print features a samurai floating aboard a cargo ship, preparing to do battle with an ominous mountain dragon. For true authenticity, UBIQ and Vans worked with Hiroshi Hirakawa of Japan’s Three Tides Tattoo shop to create the artwork. Enjoy a look at the UBIQ x Vans Vault 2013 releases, available November 9 on UBIQ’s web shop.
