Music industry bossman Lyor Cohen appears to be on the cusp of making some major moves involving technology giant Google. The renowned music mogul has just reached an agreement with Google Inc. and several investors to fund a new music-based entertainment company that will bring forth innovative artist development and a new business structure fit for the 21st century. The business model itself will flow marketing and distribution like a major, but utilize a cost structure similar to an indie where it’s more simplified and flexible. No further details were available, however this comes after YouTube recently announced its own plans to launch a music subscription service. Leave thoughts below.
