Having worked on everything from the Torsion Allegra, Lawsuit, and ZX 8000 to the Superstar 80s and Rod Laver Vintage, mita sneakers and adidas Originals return to the Campus 80s for the latest installment of their longstanding collaborative relationship. Whereas past drops have gone for a vintage aesthetic in the form of weathered suede uppers and darkly yellowed soles, the Fall/Winter 2013 release sees the sleek silhouette with a distinctly crisp look: a dark navy suede upper is paired with a classic white sole, premium brown leather lining, and metallic silver hits the the heel and signature Three Stripes. Oddly enough, mita’s chain-link motif – a hallmark of the Japanese spot’s usual creations, typically in the form of a graphic footbed – is nowhere to be found. Retailing for ¥14,700 JPY (approximately $151 USD), this season’s CP80s MITA is set to hit mita sneakers this Saturday, October 26 in limited quantities.
