Nike KD VI "Texas"
When Kevin Durant and the Nike design team looked to pay homage to KD’s alma mater with a “Texas”

When Kevin Durant and the Nike design team looked to pay homage to KD’s alma mater with a “Texas” edition of the KD VI, they set out to do something different than the burnt orange/white color combo that had dominated previous Longhorns-inspired Durant signatures. The result is a look perfectly in line with Austin’s “keep it weird” mentality: a black/burnt orange shoe with glow-in-the-dark accents throughout. A nod to the expansive star-filled skies that hover above the Texan city, the predominately black Hyperfuse upper sees GITD speckling throughout while additional Green Glow contrasts hit everything from the Swoosh and visible Max Air unit to the rubber outsole and specially-designed tongue logo. The Nike KD VI “Texas” is set to drop alongside corresponding editions of KD’s Elite socks and backpack on October 10.
