In need of a worthy vehicle to protect his alter ego on the crime-ridden streets of Gotham during the first installment of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight saga, Bruce Wayne acquired a decommissioned military vehicle – called the Tumbler – from Wayne Enterprises and its genius designer, Lucius Fox. Though the Christopher Nolan trilogy included its fair share of CGI moments, Batman’s Tumbler was and still is fully operational to the point it performed many of its own stunts, including jumping over buildings and hitting speeds of up to 90 mph in the Chicago streets of where it was filmed. To prove this wonderful piece of engineering is as real as it gets, Warner Bros. linked with car loving comedian Jay Leno to take the six-wheeler for a joyride around the streets of California after taking some time to discuss its design and specifications.
