In a continuation of the core Japanese themes exhibited by the brand in the past, Canadian start-up MMVIII offers up a brief visual presentation in conjunction with the “KOI” capsule drop. Based around a range of monochromatic pieces, designer Shun Kinoshita has added vivid scale graphics reminiscent of those on a koi fish down the arm of each garment in a nod to his heritage. Matched by a track from King Push’s latest efforts, this glitchy technicolor flick works to great effect for the Vancouver-based label.
