Previewed just last month, M.I.A. is set to unveil her collaborative project with Italian fashion house Versace. Specifically, the Sri Lankan-British artist teamed up with the Versus Versace imprint, a sub-label focused on more contemporary, perhaps even edgier stylings. M.I.A.’s concept behind the collection draws influence from the knockoff Versace goods she found in London street markets as a teenager. This 19-piece range expresses iconic Versace motifs, such as the Greek interlocking key or the Versace ‘head’ logo, across T-shirts, printed jeans, silk shirts, and outwear for men and women. Look for the M.I.A. x Versus Versace collection to hit select stockists and Versus Versace’s website on October 16.
