Kanye West‘s first solo tour in five years has started today. And there’s reason enough to be excited about this. In addition to all the new material that has dropped since his ‘Glow In The Dark Tour’ in 2008, Kanye has developed as an artist and person. And he made sure to honor this occasion appropriately. As tonight’s audience at Seattle’s KeyArena was able to witness, Kanye and his creative agency DONDA present a minimal and equally expressionist stage design that enhances the live experience of songs from his Yeezus, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Watch the Throne, Cruel Summer albums. Creative director Virgil Abloh has shared some early impressions from the concert on his Instagram. Watch below some portions of ‘Ye performing “Coldest Winter,” “Black Skinhead,” “Power,” “I Am A God” as well as the intro section.
