adidas Basketball is set to release a new colorway of Derrick Rose’s D Rose 4 sneaker, dubbed the “Boardwalk.” This edition draws inspiration from the sunny state of California – Southern California, to be exact – where Rose sometimes spends the off-season relaxing and training. The upper is split into two parts: the soft, washed out green nubuck at the front represents the Pacific Ocean, while the GEOFIT collar and Sprintframe contrast tan and pink at the heel. The focus here is on the transition between Derrick’s aggressive on-court personality and his humble, calm internal character. Look for the “Boardwalk” edition D Rose 4 to go for $140 USD at select adidas Basketball retailers on November 7.
