It was the near-perfect end to what will go down as a historic summer in hip-hop: Drake performing at the renowned ALIFE store for a special performance on the day of Nothing Was The Same‘s official release. Announced in the late leading up to the event, the intimate backyard crowded with a sea of trendsetters and pretty New York City notables – not to mention the likes of Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky and Raekwon. Indeed the performance was a special one, as Drake resumed the ALIFE stage for the first time since his inaugural New York performance some years ago. Established visual artist 13thWitness was commissioned by OVO to capture the madness as Drake performed ”All Me,” his verse from “Versace,” “Wu-Tang Forever,” shared the stage with Travi$ Scott as he performed “Upper Echelon,” and even gave a special performance of “C.R.E.A.M.” with the iconic Raekwon. This video also serves as the beginning of an ongoing creative collaboration between 13th Witness and OVO. Enjoy the video above.
