Eschewing the military connotations usually associated with “training day,” Yosuke Aizawa put a decisively athletic spin on White Mountaineering‘s collection for Spring/Summer 2013. Both preppy and sporty, this season featured knits in striped and zigzagged patterns, while shorts in bright hues, baseball caps and headbands continued the competitive theme. Elsewhere, vertically-striped short suits, cropped plaid pants and similarly-patterned lightweight parkas provided new takes on familiar — but never boring — White Mountaineering staples. Fans of the label should expect the collection to trickle into retailers in the coming weeks.
