That the name Volklore is derived from “folklore” is particularly fitting. Designed in Britain and Hong Kong, the label seeks to create clothing of “instant vintage” — items that will age well and perhaps even be passed on to future generations, the same way ideas and stories are passed down in every culture. In addition to fabric integrity and workmanship, Volklore’s designs display a breadth of influences that draw from sketches, paintings, graphic illustrations, photography and collected memorabilia. New for Spring/Summer 2013 is a highly visual range of garments bound to be conversation starters and seasonal staples. Included among them are all-over-print T-shirts that reference the opening sequence from The Simpsons along with George Orwell’s 1984, breezy short-sleeved button-downs, patterned shorts, and a contrast-sleeve crewneck sweater.
Ideal for the sunnier months ahead, selected items from Volklore’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection are available now from our online store.
