Despite its huge success as a brand, the name ‘Herschel’ actually comes from the 30-person town where three generations of the founders’ family had previously resided. As such, a prevalent theme in Hershel Supply Co. products is the idea that remote areas are homes for the heart of adventure. The company now presents its 2013 spring lookbook, consistent with the spirit of the brand. Featuring a pair of young friends in a picturesque mountainous range, the lookbook embodies and embraces the outdoor, utilitarian nature of Herschel’s bags. Included in the collection are brand new models, in addition to bright spring colorways and prints for fan-favorite models. Though Herschel has been lent a certain ‘urban dweller’ vibe, there’s something necessarily rugged about this collection – a romantic notion of exploration that celebrates the wanderer.
