Afrikabamboardin! A Snowboard Journey to Africa

When we think of popular sports in Africa, we generally think of things like soccer, or cricket even. To speak on the whole, when we visualize any exotic location, snow is likely not on people’s radar. Until now, that is. Professional snowboarders Stevie Bell, Scott Stevens and Nick Visconti took a trip to Africa’s southernmost tip on behalf of Snowboarder Magazine. The trio visited to a small ski resort – Afriski – venturing to a completely new snowboarding experience. Watch as Bell, Stevens and Visconti weave through the slopes of Lesotho’s mountain ranges, speaking on expectations versus reality, their personal experience, and yes, even the party scene.
