Mandai Courtyard House by Atelier M+A

Nestled amidst the nature reserves bordering Singapore’s Upper Seletar reservoir is the Mandai Courtyard House designed by the architectural firm Atelier M+A. On an island as land-strapped as Singapore, the Mandai Courtyard house is unique for being a one-story, bungalow-style property. Sporting a unique design built around a central courtyard, the property seamlessly transitions from indoor to outdoor space with large, sliding glass panels. The property’s color palette of white trimmed with black offers a subtle nod to the black and white colonial properties of Singapore’s past.
