HTC has unveiled its latest smartphones in a bid to steal some of the spotlight from Apple‘s upcoming iPhone 5. Sporting bold colored designs similar to the recently announced Nokia Lumia flagship phones, the new HTCs will run Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 OS. The 8X phone features an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera while the 8S sports a 5 megapixel camera. The larger 8X boasts a 4.3-inch HD super LCD 2 compared to the smaller 8S’s 4-inch super LCD, both featuring Corning Glass protection. As the flagship, the 8X runs on a speedy dual-core 1.5 GHz processor with 1GB of RAM while the lower specced 8S’ dual-core processor clocks in at 1GHz with 512 MB of RAM. Both will be available in a host of colors in addition to the standard black. The new phones will be available starting November.
