Originally released in 1987 at the height of the so-called “aerobics boom” that saw Americans hitting the gym in droves, the Reebok Classic Leather has remained a staple of the brand’s footwear collection due to its timeless shape, distinctive outsole and oversized Vector branding – which successfully incorporated into the design of the upper. Here, as a part of Reebok’s “It Takes a Lot to Make a Classic” campaign, the brand presents a video look at the creation of the blueprints for the kicks and the design’s realization in physical form.
