A day after April 20 last year, genre-splicing artist Kid Cudi announced he would quit smoking marijuana, citing the neglecting of his daughter, business, and the more important things in life. With the release of “Just What I Am” last month however, Cudi set tongues wagging once more with an electronica-tinged track on his yearning to get, “Higher.” “Just What I Am” will appear on Cudi’s upcoming Chronic: 2001-inspired album Indicud, with the cut’s artwork releasing today and featuring the artist gazing forlornly from a suitably elevated location. Listen to the track below and stay tuned for more news on Indicud and tracks from the record.
