Taking claim to the name “the most high-tech arena in sports,” The Barclays Center is where Jay-Z‘s Brooklyn Nets will consider their new home. Recently unveiling its interior, the good people from The Verge have created this nice video showcasing some of the features included in the arena of the future. While Hov wasn’t at the arena’s grand opening last Friday, Nets majority-owner Mikhail Prokhorov, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Brooklyn borough president Marty Markowitz were all on hand to welcome the media. The Barclays Center comes equipped with free Wi-Fi, over 8,000 square feet LED signage (including a three-story-tall 1080p center-hung scoreboard), and there’s even an app that lets fans order and pay for food from their seats without having to wait in concession lines. Nets starting center Brook Lopez even makes a cameo and discusses some of his personal electronic preferences. Check out the video up top and let us know what you think.
