Essentials: Tyler Clemens of Outlier

One of two “fabric nerds” behind progressive NYC label Outlier, Tyler Clemens is practical, athletic and visionary. Less than a month after meeting Abe Burmeister in a coffee shop, the two had begun building the future of straight-to-consumer technical clothing. United by a mutual love for cycling and making functional, high quality menswear, the Outlier duo’s designs are both liberating and exhilarating. Characterized by a sensibility towards ventilation and movement, Outlier inventions include smart slacks that corporate urbanites who cycle to work can wear comfortably all day.
