Tyler Clemens is the co-founder of technical clothing brand Outlier. Clemens has no formal fashion training, but has a brief background in high-end custom tailoring. Clemens met fellow Outlier co-founder Abe Burmeister in a coffee shop in New York City, and the two were determined to design a pair of pants that was suitable for cycling and everyday wear. Eventually, they founded Outlier in June of 2008 which has since grown to a straight-to-consumer technical clothing brand with a full range of menswear and a growing womens line. Clemens was determined to create a product that enabled movement flexibility, breathability and ventilation, while also being fashionable. The first pair of pants created, the prototype of the brand’s iconic OG Pant, were designed with the everyday cyclist and corporate urbanite in mind.
