Global audio manufacturer Denon has entered the world of portable sound modification with their Cocoon Home and Portable speaker dock. Calling it a “sculptural design with premium execution that blends in while standing out,” the effort marks the storied company’s first foray into all-in-one Apple-related docking systems. Available in black or white, the Cocoon Home features two 4mm tweeters and two 100mm woofers powered by a four-channel Class D amp that puts it right on par with the B&W Zeppelin, B&O BeoSound 8 and Bose SoundDock 10. The latest from Denon will be available later in the summer for either $499 for the Home model or $599 USD for the Portable model.
