Traditionally, the color green is used in 30th anniversary celebrations, however in 2013 Casio will be celebrating the 30th year of its G-Shock in red — lots of red. Extremely limited quantities of the G-Shock‘s most popular styles, including this GW-M5630A-4 will be made available in both glossy and matte shades of red, with gold highlights and black accent colors, for a dramatically striking line. This particular GW is a faithful homage to the first ever G-Shock released back in April of 1983, albeit with the most modern shock resistance available to the line. Each watch in the collection will also feature a special case back engraved with an anniversary logo designed by New York City graffiti artist Eric Haze. While official pricing and availability have yet to be nailed down, expect the limited edition watches to run slightly more expensive than their standard counterparts, and look for a release sometime around April of 2013.
