Winter is coming, and for those in cities expected to face Mother Nature’s wrath head-on, young French design label Carven is offering up a series of uniquely fitted and classically-inspired outerwear with enough design sensibility to protect wearers in the worst weather. Both the Tailored and Duffle Coats of the line are designed around the heavy winter-weight overcoats of the early 20th century, albeit with a more modern fit and fabrics of a more technical nature. Also in the collection is a thicker, mid-layer zip-up sweater that can be used as an elegant mid-layer, and a traditional collared shirt with all the careful tailoring that the label can muster.
