Bassnectar - "Va Va Voom" (featuring Lupe Fiasco) & "Weed Wid da Macca" Remixes

Bassnectar unleashes two remixes today that further demonstrates the producer’s wide ranging production skills. The first offered up is “Vava Voom” featuring Lupe Fiasco; Bassnectar has taken his own track and reworked it to a more abunbant sound with bigger bass 808s as explained below.

“This version is deeper and thicker with big 808 beats and a synth line that sounds like a rabid mosquito. It’s actually the original version of Vava Voom’s hip hop section, which was intended to be finished last fall, but I added too many layers and took it to new places, so this is a return to the original feel that Vava Voom was gonna have.”

“Weed Wid da Macka” is the second remix from Bassnectar and the Modeselektor & Ninjaman track has been taken to 90bpm that leaves it in stark contrast to the original, the producer stating that he layered in some files from Wildstyle on this one. Listen to both tracks below.
