In recalling its own history as “eager entrepreneurial rogue publishers,” art magazine Arkitip has unveiled a new project in which it will pay homage to the zines of old by printing, publishing and distributing traditional zines in collaboration with a slew of artists. “The Zine Project” will allow artists to contribute their own work and collaborate on the design and layout of their piece before it is offered up as an affordable, traveling exhibition of sorts. The first two installments of the project from Brooklyn’s Wowch and Los Angeles-born, Amsterdam-based Justin Blyth are now available in limited quantities.
