The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Metallic Platinum/Gym Red,” set to release in October, is a subtle take on the classic black, red and white Chicago Bulls color palette. Reminiscent of the Air Jordan 9 “Johnny Kilroy,” the sneakers feature a metallic finish on a substantial part of the uppers without crossing into flashy territory. Elsewhere, familiar “Gym Red,” black accents and textured leather panels make their return, the entire upper package sitting atop a traditional AJ1 white midsole and red rubber outsole. Set to release in a mid cut, this particular Jordan Brand release continues a string of strong AJ1 releases in 2012 and will retail for $105 USD.
