Known previously for recent collaborations including noted New York designer Adam Kimmel, Carhartt expands both its geographic and sartorial appeal by partnering again with uniform experiment for a Fall/Winter 2012 capsule collection. Drawing from typical Carhartt workwear staples and archived pieces such as beanies, work shirts and polos, the plethora of hardy items are given a modern spin with the implementation of updated fits, UE stencil and duck logos, along with offbeat details unique to the uniform experiment aesthetic. An oxford blue woven shirt, for example, is given elasticized cuffs and pockets akin to those you would find on a varsity jacket, along with five stars and a duck logo on the breast pocket. The collection also includes an array of duck canvas and denim in special washes and paint-splatter treatments, a bag, and an athletic-inspired hoodie. The uniform experiment x Carhartt 2012 Fall/Winter Capsule Collection has started to hit select retailers globally.
