Legendary for its finishing techniques and process, Horween Leather Company is the latest video subject for Offthewall.tv. Speaking to company president Skip Horween and taking a glimpse inside of the manufacturer’s tannery in Chicago – where they have set up shop for the past 91 years – this video from Vans highlights Horween’s production practices and why they have remained largely unchanged since Skip Horween’s great-grandfather and Ukrainian immigrant Isadore established the brand in 1905. Utilizing Horween’s premium materials, a collaborative footwear collection from Vans – featuring the likes of the Era and Mountain Edition teased in the video – is due out later this year.
