Inspired by David Lynch’s cult classic Wild at Heart and the python jacket Nicolas Cage wore during the film, Japanese designer Mihara Yasuhiro’s 2013 spring/summer collection turned out an offbeat but impressive medley of mixed relief reptilian motifs, peach satin bits, batik shirts, black biker leather, mesh, cotton and asymmetrical mandarin collars. Highlights include a variety of slim snakeskin shorts and chinos, paint-splattered suits, as well as the wonderful python shoes and leather loafers that complete each ensemble.
