Humberto Leon Discusses Kenzo 2013 Spring/Summer Collection

Humberto Leon recently took a moment to deliberate on the 2013 spring/summer collection from Kenzo. Since he and partner Carol Lim began working on a revitalization effort, the duo has hearkened to the origins of the Parisian brand by reflecting on the inaugural collection of Kenzo Takada himself. Deriving inspiration from the East Asian jungle as per Takada’s creation Jungle Jap, heavy handcrafted influences are seen throughout the show, in combination with beaded pieces and tropical prints. Successfully incorporating elements of parkour into the showcase, a noteworthy and stylishly flexible collection is presented.
