Harmon Kardon‘s latest additions to its beautiful audio offerings include these four pieces designed especially for use with the iPhone, iPod and iPad. Featuring a curiously minimal cuboid design, the line comprises two in-ear and over-the-ear designs with matching minimalist names.
The first, an on-ear model CL ($199 USD) boasts superior precision with metal hinges, a sand-blasted metal finish, and rectangular ear cups that mimic the iPhone’s iconic silhouette. Its 40mm drivers are uniquely baffled to create an airflow that extends the low bass frequencies better than other models in its class.
The second on-ear model BT ($249 USD) Bluetooth headphones feature an integrated microphone for taking calls conveniently and built-in playback buttons for easy music control. These high-performance wireless headphones can be easily charged via USB, but also work in passive mode which means they can be attached for wired play when their 12-hour battery life has been exhausted.
The two in-ear models are NI (approximately $100 USD) and AE (approximately $150 USD). The ultra-light NI (Noise Isolating) model with black rectangular housing features 9mm drivers for a wide-dynamic range and high sound-pressure levels. It also has a 3-button remote with a built-in microphone for calls and comes with three sizes of silicon sleeves for a comfortable fit and noise isolation.
