It was about time. Ellie Goulding has announced the followup to her outstanding 2010 debut album Lights. The record will be called Halcyon and will arrive on October. The British songstress’s next single, “Anything Could Happen,” will precede the long-player by arriving on September 30. Goulding previewed the album a few weeks ago with the release of a cover of Active Child’s “Hanging On,” which boasts a guest appearance from Tinie Tempah. She also functioned as a co-producer of her new album, which has been recorded in her hometown in the Hay Valley with producer Jim Elliot, known for doing production work for the likes of Kylie Minogue and Ladyhawke. Stay tuned.
