It appears that Arcade Fire’s creative hiatus after their much-awarded album The Suburbs has come to an end. According to a statement released on the band’s Twitter newsfeed Arcade Fire Tube, the Canadian band is planning to release their fourth offering in 2013. The message said:
BREAKING! New Arcade Fire album coming next year, Mercury Records has confirmed.
While the official release date or title for the album has yet to be announced, Win Butler and company posted a new track online titled “Abraham’s Daughter” earlier this year. Along with another track, called “Horn Of Plenty,” the song was featured in the score for blockbuster The Hunger Games. It remains to be seen if both tracks will land on the new album. Stay tuned.
