Under Armour recently pulled the covers off its latest performance accomplishment, the Spine RPM. A launch event in New York City brought on board several big name athletes including Tom Brady, Lindsey Vonn and Kemba Walker to help drive awareness. With an overall goal of reducing weight, the 9.7 oz shoe is by no means a class-leading achievement but looks to leverage its UA Spine Cage to ensure greater heel to toe transition alongside other materials such as UA Micro G foam for flexibility and support. A release is set for June 29, 2012 with a suggested retail price of $100 USD.
Under Armour teamed up with the Brooklyn-based art collective to highlight the dynamic qualities of the SlipSpeed sneaker model — fit for the gym, art studio, and everything in between.
