According to CBC News Toronto, a massive section of ironwork collapsed at Toronto’s Downsview Park Saturday afternoon prior to Radiohead’s planned show there, leaving one dead and three injured. The band has tweeted that tonight’s show has been cancelled. Since the show was not yet open to the audience, it is not clear whether the deceased man, who was in his thirties, was a member of the band’s tour crew working on the elevated metalwork or on the stage level or not. One photo of the collapsed stage has been uploaded to Instagram by user sufiapeace. You can see it here.
UPDATE: According to BBC, the person who died has been identified as Scott Johnson, who served as Radiohead’s drum technician.
