Iggy Pop & Ginger Baker - Lonely Boy (The Black Keys Cover)
Although The Black Keys have experienced their biggest amount of commercial success over the past
Although The Black Keys have experienced their biggest amount of commercial success over the past few years with the releases of their LP’s Brothers and El Camino, the rock ‘n’ roll duo has been pumping out albums and lighting up stages for over 10 years now. The band’s music has become so popular and made such an impact that, apparently, it seems it’s time for a tribute album. The 12-track set, Black on Blues, is due out on July 17 and will feature covers of some of The Black Keys’ best known songs, including “Howlin’ For You,” “Tighten Up,” “I Got Mine” and “Gold On The Ceiling,” as well as some true fan favorites. The first taste of the album comes from none other than rebel rocker Iggy Pop, who just released his own 16th solo studio album last month. He chose to take on the lead single from the Keys’ latest LP alongside legendary Cream and Blind Faith drummer, Ginger Baker. Scroll down to listen to their rendition of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney’s “Lonely Boy” and see the full tracklist for Black on Blues.
