The classic CTR Yellowbird from German Porsche manufacturers RUF recently went under the microscope of esteemed automobile magazine Car and Driver. Improving the performances of much of the already competent Porsche offerings since 1939, the 1987 CTR Yellowbird represented a massive benchmark in the automotive world upon its release. A twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter engine boasting a conservatively reported 469 horsepower and 408 lbs-ft of torque propelled the 2,600 lbs car to 0-60 mph times of 3.7 seconds and a top speed north of 210 mph. Jethro Bovington is featured in this video speaking on the iconic Yellowbird as well as its contemporary update, the CTR 3 which makes an appearance on the German Autobahn.
