From their new album Gossamer, Passion Pit offer up the first single release “Take a Walk” today. The track seems to resonate with Passion Pit’s breakthrough 2009 LP Manners particularly in relation to synth style and beat patterns. Frontman Michael Angelako spoke of their upcoming album stating “on Gossamer there is more of a dichotomy between the lyrics and the music, you hear my lyrics more precisely which is something I was ready for. The lyrics on this album have a lot to say about what the last two years of my life have been troubled with.” Gossamer is set for release on July 24 on Columbia Records.
