2013 Audi A3

The completely revamped Audi A3 – now in its third generation after selling 2.7 million units worldwide since 1996 – contains a totally re-energized 121-horsepower 1.4-liter TFSI four-cylinder gas engine. Utilizing the new VW Group MQB architecture, or “tranverse modular system” platform, the three-door premium hatchback is nearly 200 pounds lighter than previous models which leads to better handling without sacrificing strength thanks to its aluminum-steel construction. Inside, all on-board connectivity systems are no longer Windows-based – instead using a QNX proprietary system developed with German group Harman Becke. The Audi A3 will be released in the United States (five-door Sportback model only) in October 2013.
