The collaborative Fiat 500 by Gucci was conceptualized and customized by Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Gucci brand. In this whimsical “graphic rhythm” short directed by Chris Sweeney, Gucci pours some of their most iconic high heel, handbag and perfume bottle styles into vacuum-forming molds that make up ‘plastic model’ parts of the classic Fiat 500. Italian Vogue’s Franco Sozzani and Purple’s Oliver Zahm were also invited along to help dream up the austere concept for the short, which plays off the iconic 500′s concepts of catering to a playful, yet luxurious aesthetic.
