Johnny Depp performs with Marilyn Manson at Golden Gods Awards

On Wednesday night, Revolver Magazine held its annual Golden Gods Awards to celebrate the past year’s best hard rock and heavy metal music. Performances for the event included some of rock’s biggest names, such as Slash, Nikki Sixx, Evanescence, and the always controversial Marilyn Manson. Press surrounding Manson as of late has unsurprisingly focused on the strange, including his NSFW videos and rumors of dating Lana Del Rey, but this time it’s a different type of odd. When Manson broke into his hit cover of the Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams” at the Golden Gods, he had a special friend assisting him. Donned in all black, it was none other than acclaimed actor Johnny Depp who held down center stage with Manson and strummed away at his electric guitar. Their artistic partnership doesn’t stop there, though. In addition, Depp will also provide guitar assistance on a cover of Carly Simon’s 1972 hit, “You’re So Vain,” which will be on Manson’s upcoming eighth album, Born Villain. Above, watch the clip of the two performing “Sweet Dreams” together.
