The Daily Street: adidas Originals "Spotlight" Editorial

In early February, adidas offered a glimpse into its Archive Team GB Collection celebrating its longstanding relationship with the Great Britain team as we steadily approach the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. This range is directly inspired by the Team GB kit worn at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, which was the birth of this prestigious partnership. Having immediately fallen in love with the product and back-story, UK’s leading lifestyle and streetwear blog, The Daily Street, took to Stratford – the site of the impending games – to capture the releasing products through their own lens. Photographed by Dan Douglass with a vintage 1980s 35mm camera, this shoot juxtaposes the collection’s retrospect aesthetic against the modern setting of London, producing photos that look as old as the designs themselves.
