New Pentax K-5 Silver Special Edition Kit

Pentax has been making some significant waves as of late thanks to its impressive Pentax K-01 by Marc Newson. Earlier last year when it released its K-5 Silver Edition model, the body alone was retailing for a hefty $1,700 USD. Much to the delight of Pentax enthusiasts, the announcement has just been made that the K-5 Silver Edition will be offered in a limited edition Silver Edition Kit that comes paired with a 40mm f/2.8 lens that is expected to arrive with a more manageable retail of $1,600 USD. Pentax is touting the kit as a “limited edition” release stating that only 1,500 units will be made, albeit, the body and lens see no explicit markings or branding that signify the exclusivity. Expect the K-5 Silver Edition Kit to arrive this April.
