But for whatever reason, for “Drank In My Cup” – the catchy breakout single from Houston’s own Kirko Bangz – the situation is a bit confusing. As frequently happens in this digital age, two new takes on the track have leaked onto the internet and been falsely promoted. One is from J. Cole, who claims to have freestyled his verse on the song and doesn’t seem too happy about the way it was released. The other is from the 2012 king of rap features himself, 2 Chainz, who has yet to comment on the track. If 22-year-old Bangz is able to use either or both of the popular MCs’ verses for an official remix of his lean-sipping anthem, it may be able to climb even higher than its current peaks at No. 10 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 58 on the Hot 100.
